Convened and conducted, in collaboration with Dept. of Civics & Politics -Mumbai University, a two days (7th and 8th June 2014) RTI convention with 400 participants which included Delegates from 15 states. This was the largest RTI convention ever conducted in India where only RTI users and activists who strive for transparency in public authorities interacted, deliberated and passed resolutions.
Successfully persuaded Mumbai University’s Department of Civics and Politics to introduce the Post Graduate Diploma Course on RIGHT TO INFORMATION from January 2016, the first in the country, giving all the inputs for drawing up the syllabus and also providing all the resource persons as faculty members and guest lecturers.
Using the RTI to enforce implementation of the Supreme Court orders and directives, we were able to introduce systemic change in important departments of Government.
Through our RTI awareness campaigns we have reached more than 700000 populations
We have also trained organizations/individuals to start their RTI Clinics/help centers in Mumbai and rest of India so that RTI reaches to more communities.
