Mahiti Adhikar Manch (MAM), launched on 1st January 2006, is a group of persons who have been working voluntarily towards bringing about social change and better systems in governance, using the Right to Information Act, which is tool to be an informed citizen.
The sole purpose of the Manch is to give awareness and prorogate primarily the usage of Right to Information and complementing it with Right to Education, Right to Food, Right to Service, Social Audit of Public works, Jan Sunvais and many other tools available for self and community empowerment to bring about transparency and accountability in governing system resulting in reduction of corrupt practices and bettering the governance system
